Ever wonder where the magic happens? Last year, Architectural Digest featured the Rare Beauty office, which they described as “a workspace that is not only comfortable, but inspiring too” (hard agree).
You can read that story here, but let’s be real: there’s a lot they didn’t show you. And that’s what I’m here for.
Keep scrolling for what you didn’t see in the magazine…

What You Didn’t See…
There’s a dog bed tucked beside the couch in that conference room above. At least one furry friend snoozes next to us in most meetings.
Spot the dog in the product closet. (His name is Champagne, naturally.)
Espresso? Latte? Iced ristretto? Take your pick. We don’t mess around when it comes to coffee.
The spoils of our product development team’s international travels. They clearly know the way to our hearts.
Looking for a Pantone color that matches our formulas so printed projects reflect their true hue.
It’s impossible to go hungry in this office. Here is the snack wall. There’s even a QR code so you can put in requests!
The restroom. (I wouldn’t have thought to include this, but some of you actually asked to see it.)
A tiny greenhouse brightens up our IT manager’s desk.
A throwback: Reviewing proofs (test prints) of in-store signs before we gave the printer the green light.
Admittedly not the prettiest decor (cover your eyes, Arch Digest), but it’s functional. This month we’re collecting donations for the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
Is there anything else you want to see? Let me know in the comments and I’ll try to snap a pic for you.
i love the behind the scenes of matching the products up to the pantone samples, that’s GENIUS—though i don’t expect anything less from ya’ll 🤭
I’d love to see what some of the staff like to keep on their desks! Maybe things they love to use daily to stay productive or fun things they have around for motivation?
